Yes to the .040 restrictor, John. I had the aluminum 1/4 NPT to -6 male AN
fitting welded closed, then drilled the .040 hole through the fitting. No
need to add extra fittings or connections where they're not needed. I made
the restriction in the fitting on the 90 degree oil filter adapter, so in
case the hose fails, the restrictor is before the hose. Thanks for your
