Turned out to be a busted regulator. It seems that my PM = alternator is running too fast with the original pully and producing = enough voltage to blow some input diodes in the regulator. I did find a = crack in the potting, which looked like cause by an overheated = component.=20 I am using a larger pully now. Hope the new regulator will be here soon. = Unfortunately, I was not able to find any information on the operating = limits of that Kubota alternator/regulator combination.
