I took the thermostat out. Now the water circulates fine and I have good
cooling. Even the cabin heater works :). Does the third gen have a
recirculation hole? My theromstat housing just has space for the thermostat.
No other holes.
The hole is called the "jiggle pin" and is located on the thermostat disc itself. These often get replaced with non spec non Mada thermostats. Bad choice. You need water flowing thru that hole, and that hole has to be oriented in the specified location within the thermostat housing.
