from b&c (Bob Nuckolls from the Aeroelectric list):

from Stein Air (great supplier for avionics, etc; active in RV community):

Either will accept a different tooling insert ($10) that will allow crimping the sub miniature pins used on some of the Garmin 430, etc connectors.

If you have the skillset, it's a lot cheaper to just use the solder cup style connectors, but it is a *lot* more time consuming.

I purchased a crimp tool for D-sub pins from B&C for a lot less than 300$ (more like $40)

Check B&C out

What is everyone using for a 25 pin D connector?  Are you using a crimp version or solder version? The crimp tool for D connectors can be as much as $300.00.  Anyone have a less expensive solution?  Thanks in advance for any input.
