I'm sorry to say, Bill, that my development on the Delta has gone as far as I'm going to take it.  The extra training requirements, mixed with a change in mission, mixed with some medical issue just makes it pointless.  I'll be looking for something that is LSA compliant, or nothing at all.

Ernest,

I suggest you get the Delta flying with the rotary.  You are very close…don’t give up now!  Later if you want you can trade the Delta for another flying plane.  Remember, if you can afford a plane, you can afford a plane!  :>)

Subject: [FlyRotary] Atkins 1-rotor

Atkins is selling the parts to build a 1-rotor at http://www.atkinsrotary.com/index.php?pag=14

Atkins is advertising 220lbs without radiators, and has a dyno sheet showing 90hp at 6500rpm.

I'm selling my rotary equipped Dyke Delta, and thinking about maybe a Zenith Zodiac 650B.  It needs 80hp to 100hp.  I'm also considering a Corvair engine, which may give me a little more power and a little less weight for about the same money (I know.  That makes me a heretic), except that I could reuse a lot of the parts off my Delta's installation if I sale the airframe without the engine.

What do you guys (and gals) think?
