Where are builders placing temp sensors for oil and water?

I believe Jim M. at Racing Beat stated measure oil temp going into the engine and water temp coming out of the engine.  Currently oil goes into the engine at the oil line closest to the fly wheel location. I have a remote filter mounted to Tracy's plate and want to place the sensor on the output of the filter with a short hose going into the engine.

I am measuring water temp at the water pump housing coming out of the engine going into the rad.
Thanks for any input.

Joe,

That is why the adapter block I sell has 3 "clean" oil ports. From them you can feed the ReDrive, read oil pressure and temperature just before the oil goes down to the eccentric bearings.
