Well then, it really is a shame you didn't stop here. I won't be around this weekend, but should be here any time after that. BTW, I had the same experience (late opening on Sunday) at a little airport in TX many years ago. Must be a small town thing.

I stayed in Suffolk overnight and into Middleton Monday morning. Hit
a hanger for a couple of weeks at Summit. It was 55F at 5500 ft. Big
change from Texas.

Yep.   8.75 hours to Norfolk VA on Sunday and another 1.5 to Newark

Monday morning. Mogas in Quitman MS $3.90 and Suffolk VA at $4.80.
Some headwind all the way except the last 150 miles into Suffolk.
It's a long trip but the RV10 is more comfortable than my car.
