Well then, it really is a shame you didn't stop here. I won't be around this weekend, but should be here any time after that. BTW, I had the same experience (late opening on Sunday) at a little airport in TX many years ago. Must be a small town thing.

And I'm ignoring that 'thunderstorm for days' comment. Besides, where else do you get 2 bonus days at a rotary gathering?

Thanks Charlie. But to tell you the truth I may never stop in MS again.
Every time I do a thunderstorm forms directly above me and sometimes
they last for days. Clark count didn't open until 1:00 PM on Sunday and
no CC machine at the pump. I waited around nearly two hours for fuel and
guess what happened. You can see on flight aware where I picked up
flight following but you will have to fill in the blanks back to Clark
county. It was interesting but the plane is very clean. I may stop in on
the trip back in a couple of weeks.

Don't forget that you can stop here, any time you're in the MS area.
Mogas is 2 miles away. Have gas cans; will travel.

Plane did fine. I did wash the plane in Mississippi a couple of times.

You must have had flight following...flight aware tracked all three

Bill,

I stayed in Suffolk overnight and into Middleton Monday morning. Hit
a hanger for a couple of weeks at Summit. It was 55F at 5500 ft. Big
change from Texas.

Bobby,
That is the airport my son and I flew out of to go to Tangiers!  He
was living at Bear, DE and in residency at Christiana Hospital at
the time.
Did you overnight at Norfolk?  Or try to make a day of it?

Yep.   8.75 hours to Norfolk VA on Sunday and another 1.5 to Newark
DE
Monday morning. Mogas in Quitman MS $3.90 and Suffolk VA at $4.80.
Some headwind all the way except the last 150 miles into Suffolk.
It's a long trip but the RV10 is more comfortable than my car.
