Thanks for the nice "so-long", Dave. All the best at NP school. I know how it goes with other aspects of life. Flying sure is not everything. But like Ed says, maybe we will see you back here in a few years after your life settles down a little.

Its been a fun ride and an interesting existence here for quite a few years…
I got my PPL in 1999, hooked up with Chris Barber through mutual friends the day he took delivery of his Velocity and for quite a few years was involved in his build.
Life and finances took over, and the reality is I've not flown since 2006. I'm currently neck deep in nurse practitioner school working on my first masters degree. I will be a special issuance medical now if and when I do return to flying, and while I've enjoyed reading about the successes and learning from the failures on this listserv, this is just not something I have the time or current interest to keep pursuing. I'm no closer to buying a tail kit or a bunch of fiberglass now than I was 10 years ago.
Dave L, Ed, Chris, Tracy and the dozens here who've been such an omnipresent part of the community, you guys are a great group and I've learned much over the many years. But its time to move on.
Peace out, Ya'll
Dave Staten,
