I think it would work also, Bobby, but I would like to get around removing
the PSRU if possible.

I had thought that I might fabricate a jig that would look like a football
goalpost.  The two uprights would just fit the diameter of the PSRU and the
center support would represent the radius of the PSRU and would be used to
pick up the location of the center of the starter holes radius from the
PSRU.  This jig could then be rotated up to the side of the plate and the
new hole location marked.  If this worked, you should be able to drill the
new holes with the plate mounted on the engine.

Bill,

I think this method will work.  Remove the gearbox and dissemble the
mounting plate. Purchase a clear piece of Plexiglas from Home Depot and
match drill several of the 1/4" holes. Match drill the two starter bolt
holes and mark the starter cutout. Rotate the Plexiglas to the desired
location and use as a template.

To those of you who have moved the starter on the PSRU mounting plate,
how did you go about doing it?  Can it be done with the plate mounted?
