I do like the D585 because of the external heat sink which gives the impress=
ion of keeping the semiconductors cooler but I didn't mean to imply that the=
 AC Delco D580 was not OK.  I still have not heard of a failure on any of th=
em.   I still use them on my Renesis RV-4.
