Actually, it's only been a couple of months since I replaced the battery. I guess those lawnmower batteries aren't what they used to be :)
Actually, seems that the "Everstart"s lasted longer than the "Champion"s I've been using the last couple of times.
Or the new starter with the RWS PSRU is more demanding than the one I had on the Ross?

Anyway, plunking down $17 for a new battery seems way extravagant  - I think I'll try charging it first :)

Finn, FWIW...It has helped my starting, with low voltage, to pull the prop through a couple of turns before hitting the start button.
