The EC2/3 automatically detects a broken / open air temp sensor and just assumes the air is 75 deg F.  The B controller always does this because it doesn't use a temp sensor.   You may have to adjust the mixture control to compensate but not a big deal.  I'm not home now but will be glad to get PN for you when I get back.  It is a thermistor with a resistance of 2700 ohms at 75 F.   Most any one fitting that description would work.

While bolting up my engine after having to replace the pesky little front cover o-ring AGAIN, I broke the wire that goes into the tiny temp sensor that goes into the intake for the EC2.  It broke right at the base (the base to the little blue bulb, not just at the base of the tape holding the sensor) thus not able to repair.  What sort of sensor is this?  Is it readily available? What is it's job?  Do we know the part number if I have to order it online?  The engine seems to run ok without it but I of course want to replace it.

 

Perhaps better suited for Tracy but I gotta make a start.
