The EC2/3 uses a logic level signal (0  to  +5) to trigger the coils.  They have a current limiting resistor in series with this signal (about 560 ohms).   I don't know if that is compatible with the MSD system or not but I suspect it is since I believe they can be directly triggered by a variable reluctor type pickup.  (Do NOT try triggering them directly from the crank sensor as the timing will not be right).

So I take it you are not using one of Tracy's EC's.

Are you listening in Tracy?
Since your recommendation is to move away from the Renesis coils which I currently have.
Have you looked at the MSD as an option over the LS coil packs?

Thanks

Although the MSD can be triggered by a number of methods and such instructions are included, you need Tracy to determine which method,
if any, may be used with his system.
