Looks pretty good locally (see below,
from the National Weather Service site). Temps are actually
forecast to be pretty mild, at least for MS in September.
We're expecting everyone on Friday if you can make it, and if you
need to come on in on Thursday to beat some weather, that won't be
a problem.
We are fired up, and (almost) ready for a big crowd, so come on
down!

Same as air-to-air, 122.75. Identifier is
MS71.
BTW, our house & hanger are on the far south end of the
airport. However, you'll need to use the taxiway in front of
the adjacent hanger.
If you're driving, our house number is 140 Highway 49 N,
Jackson MS. The house sits about 600 feet from the road,
& you can't see it from the road. We will have a British
Union Jack flag (England...get it?) flying over the mailbox.
Just turn through the old farm gate next to the mailbox
& follow the gravel driveway down the hill to the house.
Our home number is 601-879-9596.

[FlyRotary] Reminder: Alt. Engine Seminar @
Slobovia Outernational Airport
Hi
Group,
It's less than 2 weeks until our Rotary gathering
here at Slobovia, & the Event Coordinator (Wife)
would like an update on the number of participants.
Here's a list of those who've responded so far:
Bill Bradburry
|
Bobby Hughes
|
Ken Powell/spouse
|
Tracy Crook/spouse
|
Richard Sohn
|
Steve Boese
|
Dale Harvey
|
Earnest Christley
|
Bill Schertz
|
Phil White
|
Gordon Alling
|
Thomas Giddings
|
Bob Tilley
|
Mark Steitle
|
Dennis Haverlah/spouse
|
Bob Perkinson
|
Monty Roberts/spouse
|
If you'd like to come but aren't on this list, can
you drop us a line or give us a call sometime in
the next few days? Arrival & departure
times/days are flexible; if you need to arrive early
or depart late due to weather, it's no problem. It
looks like we might have one 'private' space
available if there's anyone left who'd like to bring
their spouse/significant other. We can also handle a
few more in the den, etc, if you can bring your own
bedroll. Plenty of space for tent camping, too, and
there's a private camp ground about 2 miles away if
you need full hookups for a camper.
So how about it? Any more takers before I send the
general invite to Patrick at Contact Magazine?
Thanks,
Charlie & Tupper
PS: A few have volunteered to do presentations on
Saturday. Richard on his single-rotor, Steve on SAG,
Bobby (volunteered by me) on superchargers, and
Monty on a project yet to be disclosed. Hopefully
Tracy can tell us about the new EC-3 & software.
Anyone else willing to talk about their project?
I'll have a computer with Open Office & (old) MS
Office, and a video projector & small PA system
available.
Thanks again,
Charlie
