As mentioned I was not developing proper bo= ost. Even though I have the weakest spring installed (a 1.5 lb. I had previ= ously misstated it was a 3lb) so do not expect much boost, my manifold pres= sure was not getting past the low 20's in flight.=20 I was using a very cheap EBay intercooler that seemed to flow well on the b= ench but was not working when applied. I have spent the last few weeks diog= nosing, testing and moving thing around so to use the factory Mazda interco= oler (quite the strange overall shape). I got it installed over the last fe= w days and buttoned up the cowl last night.=20 I seem to be getting crazy power now as the brakes had trouble holding. Low= 30 lb range in MP. Okay, maybe not crazy power but a noted improvement.=20 I am working evening shift now and getting off work at 11:00 pm so it may b= e a few days until I am able to get my butt out of bed early enough before = work to try flight six. I tend to stay up until around 4am when working thi= s shift and sleep until about noon. It does allow uninterrupted time in the= hangar after my shift to work on the plane. While I dont usually mind folk= s stopping by it just rarely happens at 2 am ;-) Chris Sent from my iPhone 4 On Sep 16, 2012, at 6:53 AM, "Bill Bradburry" wr= ote: > Are you flying??? >=20 > Bill B >=20 > -----Original Message----- > From: Rotary motors in aircraft [mailto:flyrotary@lancaironline.net] On > Behalf Of Chris Barber > Sent: Sunday, September 16, 2012 12:47 AM > To: Rotary motors in aircraft > Subject: [FlyRotary] Five days,,,, >=20 > It's been five days and I haven't seen any activity.
