I blame my nitrous impulse on the loaner car they gave me when I had mine in for service. It was a turbo version of the same model and I got enamored of how it would squirt through traffic on those rare occasions when more power would be handy. So the choice was to spend $50,000 for a car or $400 for a nitrous kit. The latter fit my budget better and using just enough nitrous to equal the power of the turbo made it faster than the turbo car because I don't have the weight of a turbo.
And the red light on the arming switch is way cool!

However, I just gotta ask, Tracy, what short-run

"assist" to get up those Colorado hill sides?

Still here and doing lots of flying when I'm not distracted by mid life (
ok, late life) nutty impulses like putting a nitrous system on my car.
This would be a GREAT thing for getting out of short runways or off the
water with an amphib. Think Ken Welter already used that
idea.
Finally got the closed loop modes of the EC3 software working just
right. For the first time I was able to install an EC3 and fly it without
doing any manual tuning of the MAP table.
