I made my 3-rotor exhaust flange one piece to try to control expansion/contraction and hopefully prevent cracking.  So far, so good.  You could always cut a hole in the bridge between the two ports to reduce some weight.

We're looking for small weight savings as well as easier to build up each pipe. The other ends of the pipes are floating with a double flange going into a collector.
