Gravity feed or low pressure fuel pump feeding the Rotec? If gravity
feed, could positive pressure in the injector throat as your speed
increases be overpowering fuel pressure? FWIW, I just swapped emails
with Rotec about using one on my Lyc, & they told me that the
model for Lycs can easily handle 5-6 psi from a typical Lyc setup
using an engine driven pump with a backup Facet electric pump both
running in series. Hot, boiling fuel in the line feeding the engine
is not your friend (don't ask how I know).
Might be worth an email to Rotec. They responded to my info request
very quickly.

My radiator is not discharging into the cowling, so there
is not a connection. I did another test run with the inlet
around the prop flange taped almost shut, and the engine
sputtering did not come back. This would indicate to me
there is a connection. Either with pressure or some sort of
turbulence.

If its cooling well I wouldn't be so quick to call it a
big mistake.

Analyzed the dimensions of my cowling, and
fount the exit openings being about 70% of the
inlet openings. Big mistake there. This will be
fixed before looking at other options.
