Have you spoken with Tracy? =A0I suspect he will have some good sugges= tions. =A0My guess is wiring, especially in relation to the H2O sensor. =A0= I would take a real close look at the EM-2 d-sub connector for solder bridg= es or cold solder joints. =A0Also, I would check ground between the EM-2, engine and battery with an ohm-meter. =A0An= d finally, I would double check that something isn't cross-wired. =A0

I have posted in the past with problems regarding my=A0EM2= giving me wildly=A0inconsistent reading with my EGT's= . The reading flash to=A0randomly increasing numbers up t= o readings=A0of 9000 degrees.=A0=A0I replaced the=A0EGT sensors and all wires/thermal couplers to the=A0EGT to no avail.=A0 The consensus has been "noise" especially s= ince the=A0EGT are so low voltage.=A0 I have now run t= he wirers along the outside to the plane away from all other wires and still no joy.

=A0

NOW, I am having strange readings=A0with the coolant temperature.=A0 I h= ave not changed anything, no movement of wires etc...well, at first, I have= now replaced the sender with no change.=A0 What seems to be happening is t= hat when the engine is not running, the coolant temperature seems about right (which is pretty close to the oil te= mp....my oil temps dropped=A0quite a bit=A0after=A0finally getting m= y oil pressure up with a new front cover=A0O-ring).=A0 HOWEVER, when I star= t up the engine the coolant temperature reading shoots up anywhere from 50 to 100 degrees higher than=A0before I start and= /or=A0immediately after I shut down (thus not enough time to cool).= =A0 It is also about the same=A0amount=A0higher= than the oil reading.=A0 I have removed the wire from the bundled harness to minimize interference.

=A0

I am suddenly also having an issue with the coolant pressure reading fla= shing to "N" intermittingly (I am guessing=A0similiar to t= he=A0NOP on the tach).=A0 I too have checked th= e wires.=A0 Nothing has been changed, the coolant temp and pressure just started happening...the=A0EGT has always bee= n a problem.=A0 Again, I have now replaced all the=A0sening units an= d wires.

=A0

Ok, while the=A0EGT may be somewhat secondary in us= e, the coolant temperature is not.=A0 I have tried various wires.=A0 Moved = wires and replaced all sensors and re-did D-sub pins.=A0

=A0

Thoughts?

=A0

I am about two minutes away from ordering the=A0Dynon engine monitor( which I intend to buy eventually anyway), however,=A0 I = am not thrilled at the=A0idea of throwing money at what may be a simple fix= ...and may still have problems with even with the new unit.

=A0

Thanks.
