The alignment is really good, actually. I've attached a picture of the completed manifold. Those shiny spots right above the injectors are the oil injector bosses.
Looking at this picture has me thinking of a different modification...turning the fuel rail 90*, and drilling the upright part of the support. That would direct the injectors into the outer runners at about a 30* angle.
OTOH, I do have one of those self-contained HVLP sprayers that could give a me a good supply of air into the chamber.
