Very sad to hear of Leon's demise. He was a very colorful and insightful character. I exchanged & enjoyed many email conversations with him. I was his first convert to the electric water pump. I'd always hoped he would rejoin the list one day. Even though I'm only in lurk mode these days, there are some characters that I still pay attention to. He would have drawn me back in again. I first read an email from him shortly after my return from a trip to Oz and regretted that he hadn't joined the list a month or two sooner, as I certainly would have gone out of my way to meet him in person.

This morning, I was surprised to see his name on the subject of an email, and as I feared, the purpose of the message was to inform me that Leon passed away. The message was from one of his friends, who had been copied on some of the emails we exchanged years ago. It only said that he died last Tuesday, and it didn't give any details.

BTW, Prgomet was his real name, though he used Promet after his father died. There was a really long (in Leon's usual style) story about that, but I don't recall the details offhand.

Glad to see that you and Tracy are still going strong. No flying news for me. I haven't flown anything in years, and don't own a single rotary engine part anymore. I bought a new Corvette instead, so I'm a traitor :-)
