End play should be .0025" to .0035" Sorry. Check for easy stuff like a chunk of hose liner stuck in a relief valve port. Gasket under the oil pick up tube torn, failed sealant under the pick up tube. Anything blocking the bug screen. Take the pump off and check for broken outer rotors sheared keys and once assembled end play in excess of .003" Pumps will not survive anything but oil going through them. Repack the pump with bearing grease for an instant prime on spinup. (No plugs crank to oil pressure before starting). Lynn E.
