Kelly,
I used the default mapping, but Tracy posted back in December that the default programing for the 20B was off due to the Manifold Pressure leak that he had with his Blue Mountain and it affected the settings.  He warned all 20B users to be aware.
It will take time since the EC3/EM3 is new to me and I am still figuring out the pages and all the cool items.  It also does not help that I am running a little large secondary injectors and will have to account for that.  I just need to get it smoothed out during the idle.

Subject: [FlyRotary] RV-10 20B First Start

All,
This is my first post to the forum, but I have utilized the archive to gather information and assist me through my RV-10 build process.  All the information in this forum has been tremendous.

I started constructing my RV-10 in Oct 2006  while stationed at Coast Guard Air Station North Bend, OR.  I continued to build it while I was stationed in Jacksonville FL and I finally have it in a hangar out here in Colorado Springs CO.  The aircraft has been all the way across the US on the ground.  I am glad to say that I finally got it started yesterday 25Jun11.  It started right up, but had to keep the cold start on the EC3 in order for it to run smoothly. The EM3 was working as advertised and oil pressure and temp was excellent.

I did another start today, still had to keep the cold start on.  I quickly changed it to MODE 3 and attempted to increase the injector flow rate.  This was a task, she did not want to run and boy was she rough.  I continued to increase the injector flow rate, but I could not get to idle smoothly.  I went back to MODE 0 and turned the cold start back on and she smoothed out.  It was 95 degrees today here in Colorado Spring and I shut her down as water temp reach 200. Oil temp was only reading 160.  I have not completed the duct work for the Radiator yet, but it will be completed here shortly, but for now, I will continue to do my short ground runs in an attempt to get her idling smoothly.  These past few days have been very satisfying.  4.5 years turning out great.
