High pitch Magnum, in-flight adjustable & we also have the constant speed module from Ivoprop but have not programed it yet. On the Subi no prop pitch change on takeoff untill turning crosswind still in climb, Dennis leaves throttle 100% open & controls speed with prop. I do not have any kind of prop pitch indicator yet but I like what Dennis has set up in his RV7A with a amp regulated shut off/stop for pitch motor set to high & low pitch with indicator leds, do not care for Ivos plan to just hold switch untill breaker opens. David:
You are using the high pitch IVO blades I presume (I've read they have a "+" on the hub. Is your set up for fixed pitch or in-flight adjustable?
If In-flight adjustable, did you hook up an amp meter to your prop control toggle switch circuit so you can get an idea of the amount of pitch you have set in?
On take-off with the Subie, do you have to keep adding pitch on rollout to keep the engine from over-speeding?
Thanks for any info...I also will be flying behind an IVO (someday) so am curious what others are finding out about using them on RV's. Ross Farnham's SDS site has a lot of good information on his use of the IVO on his Turbo Subie 6A...
