You all may recall I avoided a tear-down recently by= extracting/replacing a broken tension bolt.  I have put 3-4 hours on = the engine since then, a bunch of short local flights but have seen a myria= d of weird symptoms … coolant system pressure spikes, coolant top-ups and recently weak spots in the compression sequenc= e.  I found one soft apex seal spring, it had some movement but not as= firm as all the rest.  Went to try freeing it up on Saturday  &#= 8230;  when I loosened the exhaust stack a couple tablespoons of coolant leaked out the rear rotor exhaust port.  So, it has to com= e apart; I’ll let you know what we find.
