Ahhh, yes; you *did* include that in the instructions. Apologies & thanks for educating. :-)  Obviously, when all else failed, I should have read the instructions.....

Charlie,

Thanks for the email.  I thought I had put the answer to your question in the instructions/welcome letter on page 1.  I’ll have to go and take another look.  If it’s buried in the fine print, or I forgot to put it in there, I apologize.

Anyhow, if you have more than one aircraft (either under construction or flying), you may take the survey once for each aircraft.  Each time you take the survey, consider only one aircraft at a time when giving your answers (of course the personal info will be the same).  There is a feature I’m currently trying to disable, though that’s not letting people take the survey multiple times from the same computer.  If you’re not able to take it a second time regarding your other aircraft, I apologize.

I hope this answers your question.  Thanks for the feedback… I know the questionnaire if far from perfect, but hopefully “good-nuf.”

Hi Kory,

I humbly suggest that you re-evaluate the structure of your survey (or educate me...). The survey seems very ambiguous on what answer is expected from each question. I own & fly a Lyc powered homebuilt, and I'm building a rotary powered one. The order of the questions causes me to question which one you're asking about, so I'm unsure about how to answer each question.

Thanks,

Charlie

Subject: [FlyRotary] Grad Project Survey - please help

My name is Kory Klismith.  I am currently working to finish my master's degree through Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.  To complete my degree I need to complete a research project.  As part of this project, I have devised an online questionnaire using surveymonkey.com.

My project focuses on safety and reliability of piston and rotary engines used in experimental aircraft.  The survey is open to anybody who currently owns/flies an experimental aircraft or has a project under construction.  The questions are straight forward, and almost entirely multiple choice.

If you can spare a few minutes, I request your assistance in completing the short questionnaire at the following address:

If you know of anybody else who's not a regular to this forum that builds/operates experimental aircraft, requesting your assistance in forwarding this link to them.  No personally identifiable information will be collected.  This is strictly for educational purposes.  In case you’re wondering about my background, I am a pilot by trade… just working on my degree as time permits.  My wife and I are building a Murphy Elite.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me via email:

Thank you very much for your time!

Respectfully,

Kory "Flex" Klismith
