Looks good, but...there are a few things to consider with this mod from Lynn.
Pro:  Improved oil flow and cooling
Con:  Any debris can kill the engine

Any (oil pickup) bolt, bearing debris, or general crap poured into the engine can lock up the oil pump.
I know of 1 car engine that died after Lynn posted this mod.

While I had it apart, I modified the oil pickup tube.  I pull the screen off, and cut the welds on it's mount plate with a dremel cut-off wheel.  Then I fluted the end by pushing it up against a ball hammer and tapping around the the edges with another.  The I slid the plate to the end and tack welded it solid.  A little more tapping on the ball to give the plate some roundness.

This is what you recommend Lynn?
