You've mentioned this before, and it is one reason that the secondary ignition with its own power supply is a "future enhancement". One of the prerequisites of that setup was finding a suitable replacement for the distributor drive gear.
But, that was before I owned a lathe. Now, all I have to do is buy a short round of suitable stock and cut one myself. What would be the best material: steel, aluminum or brass?
