Yep!   Even though you keep mentioning it, I am so tuned to fix pitch prop in my thinking - the other type is almost incomprehensible {:>)

My initial statement of reaching 7k rpm may have been a meaningless as I have a C/S prop.  So, I could set it to max fine pitch and probably reach 7k rpm with a weed-eater engine.  However, these numbers were with the prop set at 2200, IIRC.  I know there is a discrepancy between the M/T indicator and the EM-2 readout.  Maybe I should loosen the set screw on the M/T controller knob and move it so that the M/T setting = EM-2 RPM / 2.85.  This is assuming that the M/T is the The prop is close to being due for a mandatory overhaul, so I'll have them check it at that time, and re-calibrate the knob.
