FWIW,
I looked at this website and found it interesting concerning aircraft
turbocharger installation and operations. Here are two items of extreme
interest from it-----
Electronic Wastegate Controller - Although still in the developmental
stage, we are finalizing the design of a new breed of controller that
will allow for significant performance increases in the turbonormalized
system at takeoff and cruise. Certification of this is just getting
started but we hope to complete it within the year.
GAMI's SupplenatorT - This 35 Amp Supplemental Alternator is driven off
of the accessory drive pad on the back of the engine. With ample
capacity to run virtually all primary equipment in the case of failure
of the primary alternator, this SupplenatorT will come on line
automatically to carry additional load or for use in an emergency. No
clutches to exercise or fail when you need it most. The digital panel
display monitors both alternators for volts and amps. With new circuitry
for reliable voltage regulation, load management, and expansion for
powering GAMI's PRISMT Electronic Ignition, the SupplenatorT is truly
state-of the-art. It's even self-exciting. That means that even if your
battery shorts internally, the SupplenatorT will self start without the
battery online to provide you power and safety. Certification is
expected in the spring of 2003. Be advised, there is already a waiting
list for the SupplenatorT and a $500.00 discount for early orders. Call
