Bruce (and Tracy?) sell a part that holds this valve open at all times. It can stick and ruin the engine. If this engine was built by Bruce, it likely has this mod. Again to be sure that the pump is at fault, you should check the first place you can see oil after the pump. That is the outlet from the front plate, not after the filter! Looking there introduces the possibility of hose, filter boss, and filter into the mix. If the hose is lifting a flap, you will not see it by looking into the hose because it could lay back down when the oil stops flowing. I think your referring to the = e-shaft oil jet modification. I have the mod and low oil pressure at idle and low = rpm's. Mid-20's at idle when the oil is warm. Pressure comes with rpm. =
