Chris,
Have not talked to the guys yet at turbo.com but just wondering if your turbine
housing exhaust outlet came with a machined flange for a "V" clamp to connect
your exhaust pipe to the housing............

Kelly,

I have a 3 lb spring in the wastegate to limit boost.  I do not have a manual adjustment...just the spring. My desire is to be mindful of detonation issues since this is so often discussed.  Figure I should start small.  I have seen boost on my EM2 that seem in line with the spring installed.  I am having a brain bubble on the MP but the Rpm is about 6300 rpm.  It seems to like about 6250 better as I have to play with mixture to get to 6300 for a few seconds, but will stabilize around 6250 rpm. I am limited to this for a very short time (less than a minute) since at these power settings my temps start to rise FAST (perhaps bad design...or, perhaps 108 degrees F on the ramp with about 98% humidity....perhaps both).

The turbo is a "Comp Turbo" T4 with.  IIRC, the A/R is .96 with P trim, like John Slade's. The Comp Turbo was recommended the guys at Turbochargers.com ( a local Houston company).  Perhaps they get a kick back or just like the company. The guy I spoke with says it is the brand he uses extensively. I have the "Performance" 46mm wastegate

Hope this info helps a bit.

All the best,

Chris

Have made some high power run ups to about 6300 rpm. The high power runs are brief due to it getting hot fast,ESP with 100degree+ ramp temps.  Did a decibel check last night at idle. About 83 at 50ish feet.  87 at 25ish feet. 92 at prop and 83 in cabin. I shudder at what it must have been before the turbo.   Tuning is improving as I improve my comfort zone with the ecu

Much work and time has been spent, but I think I just about have my engine install where I want it.  I took this video today with my new I-Phone.  The quality ok but much better than my old Motorola Cliq (what garbage).
