Found this historical photo taken way back in 2001. 

 

 

World's 1st formation take off of rotary powered planes.  Shady Bend Airpark, Bell, FL April 2001.

 

I believe that this was an historical event in having two rotary powered aircraft in the air at the same time in approximate vicinity to each other
