First flight in a Tailwind was with Brian Alley at Urbana, 2001, and my much younger mind which absorbed the pattern and final approach like a sponge and even today it was like it happened yesterday. Malcolm and BobD in different flights, gave me lots of pointers, there was a joke at one time that I had more time in Tailwinds than some of the owners. I do need a 2.5 to 1 redrive, as the engine needs to turn faster to develop the hp. I need to get the engine up to 6200 rpm to develop over 200 hp, but for now I'm really happy.
