Measure degrees from there and put your timing mark on the pulley if you don't have one of the original type pulleys that only go on only one way (early engines, aftermarket, etc). Was I smart enough to mark the shaft and pulley so I could put it back in the same position? Of course not. Is there a simple method of reinstalling the pulley so the timing marks are correct, or do I have to take the engine all apart to fix this?
