Peterson makes an "in line" filter in many micron ratings. About 2 3/4"
diameter and 7" long. Put it anywhere. Very light.

Thank you Lynn (and other for comments).  I just ordered an inline filter
from Peterson, which should solve many problems. I needed AN-12 in, and
AN-10 out, which was no problem.  They also have the option of getting a
temp sensor, or other ports on the end housings.  Mine will have a 1/8" NPT
port for a temp sensor.  I ordered the version without the oil by-pass
feature, and with the smallest filter element size that they currently
recommend for oil filters.

They didn't really care that it was for an airplane, which I found out after
he mentioned that they had done lot's of stuff for experimentals planes.  In
fact, they even build a custom inverted oil system for a guy with a Chevy
engine.

Thanks again,
Rusty (fiberglass today- groan)
