I'm guessing that it might be as low as 17 - 19 to one. I can lean more aggressively when altitude is above 12,000 feet and my cruise rpm is above 5100 rpm. That was not the case on the flight that Charlie mentioned. I think we would have frozen to death at that altitude that day. It was 12 deg. F at 4000. If I could choose to pick the conditions for a lyc. - rotary economy comparison it would be at 15,500 feet at 172 mph TAS. I get around 30 MPG in that condition.
