We had a 'Bread Machine' that had a plastic impeller on the bottom that meshed with the bread basket drive spline. It cracked, and they had no repair parts. I cast a new one using JB-Weld, with some fiberglass roving mixed in. It has been working once a week for the past ~10 years, going to bread baking temperature (325F) and is still working.

Al, I haven't tried it on JB Weld, but doesn't it loosen with heat like epoxy and Lock-tite.  JohnD

JB Weld is a very high temp epoxy.  The makers claim is that it is good to 500F.  My own experience is that it is very strong past 200F.
