    Well assuming the = Smog=20 pumps are all alike.  You want to attach your vacuum hose to = the one=20 on the top side.  Leave the one on the back open (I unscrewed the = pressed=20 in nipple because it interferred with my homemade manifold fuel rail) = but free=20 to discharge air.
