Have you considered a small heater core from a subcompact car?

Hi Bill;
    Yes, I've thought of that. When I built my cabin heater, I'd found one from an old Datsun that was so small & cute that I had to use it, but it leaked, badly. I exchanged it for another that also leaked a little, so then I exchanged it for a newer aluminium core that was larger but much better.
    I doubt that I could find one that small without any leaks, and I know that I did look at the time to see if I could get a new core for that old Datsun, but it was not available. I'll call the local rad shop tomorrow and ask if they can make a small fuel cooler to order.
