Rusty, there are plenty of things that will do the job.  I had a similar problem and couldn't wait to order the light weight stuff from aircraft spruce, so I got a can of stuff from an auto body shop supply house.  I forget the name but its a polyester resin with fiberglass strands in it for extra strength.  Its a bit on the heavy side, but your not going to use that much.

I forget the name, but all the guys that use it call it "gorrilla Snot", when you open the can you'll understand why.  Its made by "EverCoat".

Let's see, fiberglass or gorilla snot... tough choice :-)

Thanks for the comments.  I just looked at the Spruce catalog, and found that they have about two pages of fillers.  Most are sprayable, so I figure that's not what I want.  If you happen to know which is the best from what Spruce sells, let me know.  Don't worry too much about it though, since I have some time before I need to do this.  It dawned on me last night that I don't really dare finish this until I get my prop extension in, and verify the fit of the prop and spinner.

Thanks,
Rusty (yuck)

PS- Gorilla Snot (yes, I couldn't resist doing a search) is the name of a grip enhancing product sold for musicians.  It helps for holding onto guitar picks, drumsticks, etc.

PPS- Al, I almost changed the subject heading to Gorilla Snot in your honor  :-)
(you were right about the need to change the headings of course- I'm just messin' with ya)
