Subject: [FlyRotary] Re: stainless
exhaust components?
However, when I ordered the tubing
from Burns Stainless,
they expanded the ends for an additional cost of $5.00
per expansion.
If you happen to be purchasing the stainless from them, they
could also
expand it for you, or perhaps the other source/suppliers can do the
same.
Wouldn't hurt to ask? Happy Holidays. Paul Conner
I followed your lead
on the intake pipes, and ordered the tubes pre-expanded from Burns. Now
of course, I probably won't be using them...
Anyway, I'm afraid the
exhaust tubing will be a tight, and complex fit, so I won't be able to
pre-plan it well enough to get the ends pre-expanded. Worst case,
Spruce sells slip joints to help join tubes.
Cheers,

passed DOT. Maybe only 90 day to go)
PS- Why do about half
of your posts appear to come from Marvin?
Great news about the
sport pilot passing DOT. For those of us who are not getting any younger, we
may still have another option to fly should we loose our medical some day. You
never know when something as simple as a kidney stone can sneak up on you and
ground you.
I think the reason a
lot of my posts look like they came from Marvin is because I just clicked on
"reply" to message, and if the original message came from Marvin, possibly it
keeps that heading? I'm replying to Rusty's message....we'll see if it
looks like this reply is coming from Rusty.
Wishing you good luck
on getting your engine reconfigured. We all appreciate the efforts you make to
keep us informed of your experiments, successes and failures. (Hopefully more
successes than failures). It sure is nice to see presents under the tree
that say Aircraft Spruce on the packages. Paul Conner
