I have posted some information concerning EC2 signals and battery voltages during an engine start at the following web site:

This “Startup Sequence Powerpoint” download may be of interest if starting difficulties are encountered or you are simply interested in this sort of thing.

 

The system studied uses an EC2 with GM coils.  The engine ground is located on the front cover at the base of the CAS.

 

It works best to save the download to a new folder that is easy to find on your hard disc and then unzip the files.  Trying to run the application directly from the web site doesn’t work.  If you decide to look at the information, it may be useful to expand the notes section at the bottom to make the descriptions more readable and then reduce this section down again to make the images as large as possible.

 

Unfortunately, the post is the result of a weekend of temperatures below 0, winds above 20, and a warm computer in my lap.  I’d rather have been flying.
