Part of the reason it didn't last very long was that it was much closer to the ports, therefore subject to much more heat and sonic blast. I haven't reached the point that I'm willing to hang the muffler on the belly... yet. Mark S. On Thu, Oct 1, 2009 at 3:10 PM, Jeff Whaley wrote: > Yes, as in how long did his muffler last? =A0If you want to have a quiet rotary power= ed plane, you need to get someone in Australia to talk with Ian Beadle to s= ee what he has done with his RV6 powered with a Renesis.

This plane is quiet!=A0 I don=92t know wher= e Bindoon is located=85.

Kelly,

You just need to fly at Mach 1 so you stay = ahead of the sound.=A0 ;-)

=A0

Can anyone report on the effectiveness of t= he tangential muffler in actual real world situations?=A0 (As I recall Al G= . is running a tangential muffler on his Velocity.)=A0 I ask because I'= m in the process of building one for my Lancair with the hopes that it will= work better than the DNA muffler that I'm currently running.=A0 I thin= k it will work better at reducing the noise level in the cabin, but at what= cost to power?=A0 Hopefully, this will save me the cost of a new Zulu ANR = headset.=A0 Comments appreciated.
