Jeff,

They’re very tough…  and will survive being pulled through conduit provided they’re wrapped tight around the cable.  They stick like doo doo to a blanket and almost impossible to un-wrap after they have been applied.  Just as durable as Brady type.

Neil,

Those labels seem pretty cool!  Are the very tough and do they have strong adhesive?  Do they withstand, say, being pulled thru a conduit.

I’ve always used Brady labels & a Sharpie (I know, Old School..) but they sure are durable.

If you think that the Panduits are similar in durability, I’d switch to those in a minute.

I’ve used Panduit LJSL4-Y3 for work and plane.  Laser or inkjet to the 8.5x11 sheet and peel and stick to the cable.  The clear portion wraps around the writing portion and protects the lettering.  Google that part number and you will find places that sells it by the single sheet.

Here is a message that I sent to my local EAA chapter with information about a wire labeler that prints on shrink tubing. Also, in my opinion, (although I did it) stuffing the small labels under the clear tubing is very time consuming. Whereas printing directly on the shrink tubing is much more time efficient.
