Oh, it’s coming;
and I’ve learned never to forecast a completion date; just always say “next
year”. Just finishing the details of my custom cowling; which with all
the fitting, filling, flanging, etc. has taken about 3 times longer than I
expected. Airframe – including gear retract, control rigging etc., is
essentially complete, engine installation is 95% complete, electrical about
25%. Still have to do panel, interior/exterior finish.
My intent back
when I started was to fly cross country for the Centennial Celebration at
Kittyhawk. Having missed that, it will be done when it’s
done.

Well,
having been there, I fully understand. It seemed like I stayed at the
95% done, 95% to go stage for two years. Its amazing how much work it
takes to get it completed even after it looks like an airplane
{:>).
It took me
over a winter (about 3 months ) to get my panel done. But, then
as usual (for me), I over-designed the electrical wiring of the
panel with back ups and emergency contingency alternatives. Probably
have more switches and heavy wiring than a saberliner.
Looking
foward to seeing you in the air with it.
