Scott,

I mounted mine around 8 years ago on the firewall side – however, they are located in a Blast Box I put around my fuel pumps and header tank so probably run a few degrees cooler than average under cowl temp.  Given the temperatures that resistors can stand – I do not believe you will have any problem on the firewall side (But, I wouldn’t put them right over the exhaust or within line of slight (without a shield)).

Common sense tells me I should mount the fuel injector resistors on the cabin side of the firewall of my zenith 801 because of lower temperatures. Have others had long term success mounting theirs on the engine side of the firewall? My desire for engine side is ease of maintenance. Thank you Scott
