Hey Ed, did you every complete the frnt. gear update for the A-modle RV's? We were snowed in early last Nov. so we installed the new fork & had the gear leg cut/rethreaded, came out great, I also did the leg fastener bolt mod. with the taper pin, 4 to 6 weeks of on & off again hand reaming of the hole for the taper pin, what a nightmare! BUT ! Now that it is done am glad I did it, very tight, no movement at all, 0-clearance so the mount hole should never wallow out. The trick was how to access best? Drilled the leg separate from mount in steps (remember the bolt hole was already match-drilled, very hard spring steel) then taper reemed close to finish, drilled/reemed the mount close to finish, then reassem., level fuselage (horizontally), level gear leg (vertically, fork area) in place & finish reaming taper hole (work real fine-last long time). Half way through if asked, would say too much work, now that its done & will never have to deal with wallowed out hole, would highly recommend. Sorry I missed everyone at Sun-n-Fun was in Lakeland the last day of show but have been dealing with med. problems (minor) & was at ER getting bloodwork/X-rays & meds so we could finish vacation on a high note/fun & it was, love FL in the winter.
