originally the O-290 was used but folks have gone up beyond that to the
O-360

I heard of a fellow shoehorning an O-470 on one, (no thanks)

On his Max shows an empty weight of 1200lbs and gross of 1850lbs.

He is running a 13b with the RD1C and EC2 and reports 135-140 knots at
5500rpm

Max has the front edge if the rear most iron at 11 inches from the firewall
and he has his battery hanging on the firewall as well. I worked out the
position on my engine to work at 9.5 inches from the firewall measured at
the same position on the block. He does have the back seat that mine wont
have. That space is good for about 150 lbs.  But I will be putting a second
fuel tank to feed the nose tank in its place.
