Are there builders out there who > would prefer to buy a ready to install manifold for their projects? > We (Chris Barber and I) bought ours for about 2100 (shipping, intake, injector rails). No manuals, no documentation. It fit our 89-92 turbo block (4 port), which I believe is the core engine their intake was built around. I cannot recall if there is a 6 port version or not, or if there is a work around with regards to the 4 v 6 port issue. There was a slight interference during fit with regards to the rear iron's oil filter pedestal, which on correspondence with Mistral was a known issue with stock mazda blocks. A few seconds with a side grinder to the edge of the oil filter pedestal resolved the fit issue. No modifications to the intake were required. I cant understand why they wouldn't sell the parts to the public - its income, and they fit.. Cant tell you the weight, but its cast aluminum, and its simpler than the stock intake/tb, so I "ASSUME" its lighter than the stock intake. I have absolutely no qualms or reservations about using the mistral intake or in dealing with them in the future. I had a good experience and would recommend them.. and honestly, had I had the money sitting around, I'd have bought their engine package and bolted it on. Dave
